AMSConsultants Ltd was formed in July 1996 by Andy Slade after leaving the employment of Zuken-Redac, a world force in EDA software.
Andy is the Director and IT Consultant for the company, while his wife Marion is the company secretary, translator and ISO 9000 auditor.
Although the company has only been in existence since July 1996, Andy has over 25 years of experience in the electronics industry since graduating from Bristol University, England in 1969. He has worked for a variety of major players in all branches of the industry - Philips, Racal Electronics, AEG in Germany, NormalAir Garrett (part of the Westland Helicopters Group), Plessey Research, Racal (now a division of Thomson) and Hewlett Packard. He has experience of semiconductor manufacturing, telecommunications, sonar, defence, aerospace and design automation (EDA) and UNIX computers.
While at Zuken-Redac Andy travelled extensively throughout the world visiting customers in all branches of the electronics industry. AMS Consultants are therefore very familiar with the problems of design in all types of development environments. Before joining AMS Consultants in January 1999 as a full time employee, Marion has gained 10 years experience in safety management at Schloetter (UK) Ltd, a supplier of chemicals to the Electro-plating Industry world-wide. Since then she has performed a number of ISO 9000 audits for Schloetter and translated many technical articles and brochures for a wide variety of German industries (for example, Volkswagen, Porsche, Opel, Winkler and Dunnebier, Rehau and Junkers) |
